Location: Salinas, CA
Pay: $96,000 - $140,000/year

My client is a new, state-of-the-art imaging center committed to providing compassionate care and high-quality diagnostic imaging services to the community. As they open their doors, they are looking for a skilled and motivated MRI Technologist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be the first MRI Technologist in their center and help shape patient care standards and daily operations.

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires both technical expertise and a compassionate approach to patient care. As the first MRI hire, you will work closely with leadership to support workflow development, quality standards, and equipment optimization.
You will be responsible to:

  • Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively, ensuring image quality and accuracy.
  • Screen patients for safety and contraindications before procedures.
  • Position patients appropriately and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Monitor patients during imaging for safety and respond promptly to any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other team members to support diagnostic needs.
  • Assist in developing and refining protocols and procedures as the imaging center grows.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including MRI safety zones and radiation safety (if applicable).
  • Maintain cleanliness, supplies, and readiness of the MRI suite.


What you bring to the imaging center:

  • ARRT (MR) certification or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Current state licensure
  • Minimum of 3+ years of MRI experience preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of MRI equipment and protocols.
  • Excellent communication, patient care, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a new and growing imaging environment.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
