Position: Maintenance Planner – Billings Refinery
Start Date: Mid to Late September
A refinery located in Billings is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support ongoing operations. This role focuses on developing detailed job plans and coordinating field work to ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct job site walkdowns with operations personnel and contractors to assess the scope and requirements of maintenance work.
- Develop clear, detailed job plans that include task sequences, estimated labor resources, parts and materials, tools, equipment, and any required internal or external services.
- Address and resolve issues related to work scope, task prioritization, resource needs, and job sequencing.
- Evaluate field conditions to determine job needs, such as PPE, scaffolding, lifting equipment, insulation removal/replacement, and abatement, in order to generate accurate job estimates.
- Requisition appropriate materials and parts to support scheduled work.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple skilled trades, including pipefitters, insulators, welders, and rotating equipment mechanics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience working with or planning for skilled trades in an industrial or refinery environment.
- Familiarity with Integrated Planning Software (IPS) or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of maintenance operations and field planning practices.
