Job Description:
Addison Group is hiring a Medical Receptionist for our client in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC. This is a patient-facing role responsible for front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and thrives in a busy healthcare setting.
About Our Client: A respected healthcare provider specializing in arthritis, osteoporosis, and connective tissue diseases, known for its innovative research and compassionate care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced medical front desk role
- Familiarity with HIPAA protocols and patient confidentiality
- Professional demeanor and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and collaborate with a team
- Experience with medical scheduling software (NextGen preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients
- Verify insurance and collect copays
- Distribute and manage patient intake forms
- Schedule follow-up visits and confirm appointments
- Assist with voicemail callbacks and appointment reminders
- Review physician schedules for accuracy
