Shipping & Receiving Lead | Mason, MI
Salary Range: $47,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring efficient workflow and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Train, mentor, and supervise shipping and receiving staff, providing guidance on procedures, safety protocols, and performance expectations.
- Manage inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow and meet production deadlines.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting for damage or discrepancies and initiating return/reorder processes as needed.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, proper packaging, and adherence to carrier requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, enforcing safety regulations and implementing best practices for material handling and storage.
- Utilize shipping and receiving software and systems to track inventory, manage shipments, and generate reports on departmental performance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in using shipping software, WMS (Warehouse Management System), and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, including training and mentoring team members.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Forklift certification
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS software
