Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Primarily Day Shift, with the necessity to provide 24-hour guidance to pharmacy personnel
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adequate staffing to maintain uninterrupted pharmacy operations
- Step in to perform pharmacy duties as needed
- Oversee dispensing of pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment with full accountability
- Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards
- Assist in the creation, review, and updating of pharmacy policies and procedures
- Lead orientation and training programs for pharmacy staff
- Participate in inspections, surveys, and accreditation readiness activities
- Maintain effective verbal communication and computer-based record-keeping; perform light physical activities such as lifting and standing
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- B.S. or PharmD from an accredited Pharmacy School
- Active Iowa Pharmacist License (additional licenses beneficial for future opportunities)
- Minimum of 4 years clinical pharmacy experience, including home infusion expertise
- 2+ years of recent clinical pharmacy management experience preferred
- Familiarity with CPR+ software is a plus
