Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – General OR
Location: York, PA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00–17:30) with required call and weekend rotations

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and the operative team during surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including Orthopedics, Thoracic, Vascular, Trauma, Robotics, General Surgery, and Gynecology.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and ensure proper handling of instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures.
- Support robotic-assisted cases using the da Vinci Xi system.
- Anticipate surgical needs and ensure accurate specimen handling and labeling.
- Uphold safety standards including laser, radiation, sharps, and universal protocol/time-out procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute response time.
- Float within surgical services as needed, including possible support to sterile processing.
- Provide patient care support across a wide range of age groups, including neonates through geriatrics.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical technology experience post-orientation.
- Must have multi-specialty experience including Orthopedics, Thoracic, Vascular, Trauma Level I, and Robotics.
- Strong background in general OR procedures with the ability to work in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment.
- Experience with laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.
- Proficiency with surgical instrumentation, equipment, and specialty sets.
- EPIC charting experience (required).
- Ability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- No first-time travelers accepted.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – must be certified by NBSTSA (required).
- BLS certification – AHA
