About the Role:
Join SLM FIRE AND SAFETY LLC as an AFEX FIRE SUPPRESSION TECH, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients. This exciting position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge fire suppression systems while being part of a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and service AFEX fire suppression systems in various settings.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on fire suppression systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate records for compliance.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and advancements in fire safety technology.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide on-site support as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in fire suppression preferred.
- Experience with AFEX systems or similar fire suppression technologies.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Relevant certifications in fire safety or suppression systems are a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies.
- Travel maybe required.
Training & Safety
Required PPE typically includes FR clothing, steel toes, eye protection, an H2S monitor, and a high-visibility vest
