Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available for the upcoming semester at a high school located in York, SC. This role involves working onsite with a caseload of 12 students in an ID1 classroom, providing specialized instruction tailored to individual needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education (SPED) License
- Experience working with students requiring specialized support
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans and instructional strategies for students with intellectual disabilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized educational instruction to a small group of students in an ID1 classroom setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student growth and development
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement
