Temporary Policy Manager

Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid – 3 days in office per week)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $40.00

Position Overview

This is a temporary position. The Policy Manager will support the VP of Health Policy, with a focus on LeadingAge’s residential congressional affairs work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and summarize relevant bills, hearings, and research.
  • Schedule, attend, and follow up on meetings.
  • Assist with engaging stakeholders to advance LeadingAge’s policy goals.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, consistent with responsibilities reasonably within the scope of the job classification.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of federal congressional processes required.
  • Knowledge of residential healthcare and aging services policy preferred.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing changing priorities.
