Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist opportunity is available in Neah Bay, WA, supporting one district with three schools and a local Head Start program. This contract position is designed for the 2026-2027 school year, with an estimated start date of September 1, 2026. The role offers an onsite work environment with hybrid options to support flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological testing and assessments for students from pre-kindergarten through age 22.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for student evaluations and placement decisions.
- Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify behavioral challenges and support interventions.
- Collaborate with educators and special education teams within the district to ensure compliance and student success.
- Provide expertise required for evaluation meetings; please note that this role does not include counseling duties.
Schedule and Work Environment:
- Full-time position with hours ranging between 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
- Daily schedule is generally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional meetings.
- Primary work location covers one district that encompasses three schools and local Head Start programs.
- Onsite presence is preferred, complemented by hybrid work options for additional flexibility.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as a School Psychologist within school settings.
- Strong skills in psychological testing, evaluations, and conducting FBAs.
- Knowledge of special education processes and familiarity with IEP development.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently across multiple sites.
- Professional licensure or certification as required by the state.
This is a contract role with a focus on delivering critical psychological services throughout the academic year. There is no current indication of extension into summer or the following school year.
