Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years NICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This travel role will add impressive depth to your resume as you care for a diverse neonatal population, including critically ill infants requiring complex interventions. Exposure to state-of-the-art technology, a teaching-hospital atmosphere, and multi-disciplinary teams ensures strong professional growth. As a valued member of the NICU team, support is prioritized with favorable nurse-to-assistant ratios and seasoned Charge RNs on each shift.

Schedule:

  • Shift: 7p-7a, every 6 weeks schedule cycle
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend at minimum
  • No on-call required
  • Expectation to work 75% of holidays, with RTO subject to approval

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license; at least 2 years of recent NICU experience
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Proficiency in vent and central line management, trach and G-tube care, gavage feeding, basic breastfeeding, bottle feeding, blood transfusions, and venous sticks for infants
  • Comfortable with floating to other pediatric areas (Gen Pediatrics, PICU, Adolescent Peds, Pediatric Hem/Onc)
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to neonates (23 weeks to term) with varied medical and post-surgical needs
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced, academic medical environment
  • Educate and support families during critical episodes
