Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in New Jersey, requiring an active NJ RN license along with ACLS and BLS certifications.

- Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
- 13-week contract
- Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required on an as-needed basis
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements\n

- Active NJ RN license required (compact license not accepted in lieu of NJ license)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

- Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, delivering direct patient care, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the nursing process
- Candidate must adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including use of two patient identifiers and Universal Protocol
- Patient and family education is a key component of this role, including pre- and post-procedure teaching
- Epic charting experience is highly recommended given the facility's EMR system
