Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Welders for projects located in or around Norfolk, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $38/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Multipass. All position fillet and butt welds using the following processes: SMAW Shielded Metal Arc Welding, GMAW Gas Metal Arc Welding, FCAW Flux Cored Arc Welding and GMAWP Pulse Arc Welding
- Using Oxygen/Propane heating torch
- Air Carbon Arc Gouging
- Use fillet and butt weld gauges
Requirements:
- OSHA 10; may be provided to qualified candidates
- 4+ year NNS or Naval shipyard experience
- Must pass various weld test
- Experience working in a physically demanding environment shipboard sub-assemblies ladders staging etc
