Grief Counseling Services Intake Counselor

Trellis Supportive Care | Winston-Salem, NC

Schedule - Part-Time

Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week, 4 or 5 days a week during business hours

When someone reaches out in grief, you'll be there—the calm, caring voice that guides them toward healing. As our Grief Counseling Services Intake Counselor, you'll serve as the vital bridge connecting patients, families and the community to the support they need.

What You'll Do

Welcome & Guide | Serve as the first point of contact for grief counseling referrals, assess client needs, and seamlessly guide them through our intake process

Connect & Coordinate | Match clients with our counseling team, build partnerships with community resources, and collaborate with our interdisciplinary care teams

Support & Educate | Provide grief support within your scope, facilitate groups and workshops, and share your expertise through education and special events

Document & Develop | Maintain clinical documentation and help refine our referral processes to better serve our community

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or Psychology
  • 1-2 years’ experience in mental health or healthcare settings
  • Training & expertise in grief, loss, and bereavement
  • State licensure (LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, or LCSWA) preferred but not required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to connect authentically with people in pain
  • Professional, courteous and empathetic communication
  • Respect of differences in beliefs & cultures, and awareness of diversity in daily practices
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
