Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Direct Sales Representative to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for identifying prospects, building strong client relationships, and driving sales of TechGuard Security's products and services. The role requires a solution-based, consultative sales approach-focusing on understanding client needs and tailoring comprehensive security solutions rather than simply selling a product. In addition, the position involves working closely with Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners to identify security requirements for current and future customers, ensuring our offerings align with their evolving needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proven ability to close deals, and a passion for delivering trusted security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate and pursue leads through networking, cold calling, events, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to understand their security needs.
  • Take a consultative sales approach, identifying client pain points and recommending customized, solution-based offerings.
  • Partner with MSPs to evaluate customer requirements and align solutions with client needs.
  • Present and promote TechGuard Security's solutions with professionalism and confidence.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline updates, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, and customer support) to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging security technologies.
  • Base + generous commission structure

Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven track record selling in a technical environment.
  • Proven experience in direct sales, preferably in cybersecurity, technology, or related industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to explain technical products and solutions in clear, customer-focused language.
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience with solution-based or consultative sales approaches is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with MSPs or channel partners is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
