Job DescriptionSalary: $20.00 to $30.00

We are a dynamic and innovative food science company, specializing in the development of novel ingredients for the food and beverage industry. Our R&D team is scaling up operations to support new analytical capabilities, process development, and product innovation. We're seeking a hands-on and motivated R&D Laboratory Technician to assist in expanding our in-house testing capacity and help execute critical experiments during this phase of growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and is comfortable working across multiple types of lab instrumentation and testing workflows. Because this assignment is tied to timebound validation milestones, it is structured as a threemonth temporary contract. An extension is possible if project timelines or throughput needs increase.

    • Assist with instrumental analyses, including but not limited to microplate-based assays, viscosity testing, and subjective assays.
  • Experimental Execution
    • Follow established protocols for sensory tests, including structured data collection and reporting.
    • Execute high-throughput assays efficiently while maintaining accurate records and ensuring data quality.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Record experimental procedures, instrument parameters, and results clearly and systematically.
    • Communicate findings to the R&D team in a timely manner to support decision-making.
  • Laboratory Operations & Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and hygiene procedures.
    • Prepare any solutions or bases needed for experiments.
    • Support inventory management, including tracking, labeling, and replenishing laboratory supplies and chemicals.
    • Manage general lab upkeep and waste disposal.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of laboratory experience in food science, biotechnology, analytical chemistry, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of laboratory experience in place of a bachelor's. Recent graduates with lab experience are welcome to apply.
  • Comfortable operating benchtop instruments, food science equipment, and following instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently after training
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to document and relay experimental results clearly.
  • Must be team-oriented, curious, and eager to learn new methods.
  • Interest in highly regulated industries and overcoming external challenges amid constant change is preferred
