About the Role
As our Accounting Manager, you will oversee financial reporting and accounting operations. You’ll lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, prepare and review GAAP-compliant workpapers and reconciliations, manage daily accounting functions, and provide insights to support operational decisions. You will also supervise and develop a team of accounting professionals while maintaining strong internal controls.
What You’ll Do
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and review account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and reporting packages for leadership.
- Monitor daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger postings.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting systems.
- Analyze budgets vs. actuals and provide insights to support operational decisions.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, setting performance expectations.
- Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and ensuring compliance.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems (experience with Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and month-end close.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
