Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Duration: Contract Assignment

Schedule: Rotating Day/Night Shifts

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Shift Requirement:
Facility will attempt to honor preferred shift; however, rotation may be required to meet operational needs..

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care within a large academic medical center. The RN will care for adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients and may float to designated units caring for the same patient population. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry skills, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring

• Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Document patient care accurately and timely

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs

• Float to assigned units caring for similar patient populations when needed

• Maintain compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License

• Minimum 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience within specialty

• Current AHA BLS Certification

• Current ACLS Certification

• Current NIHSS Certification

• Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills

• Ability to successfully complete ECG Rhythm Recognition Testing during orientation

• Ability to successfully complete SafeMedicate assessment during orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent acute care hospital experience

• Previous travel nursing experience

• Experience working in large academic medical centers

• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills

Additional Information:

• Potential floating to units caring for the same patient population

• Travel experience accepted toward specialty experience requirements

• Orientation assessments required and must be passed successfully
