Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist opportunity is available to support elementary students across two schools in Whittier, CA. This contract position offers flexible hours, allowing you to work between 20 to 37.5 hours per week to meet the needs of the caseload. The role involves providing psychological services to elementary-aged students, helping to foster a supportive learning environment and promote their academic, emotional, and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services tailored to student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success planning
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies accordingly
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Psychology
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Ability to manage caseload across two school sites efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, student-centered support
