Pridestaff is seeking an
Operations Manager for a major manufacturing company in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in manufacturing or operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, your duties will include:

Process Improvement: You'll continuously evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, cut waste, and improve overall productivity. You will also identify and apply best practices to optimize costs, shorten lead times, and improve product quality.

Production Management: You will manage staffing levels and adjust production schedules to meet targets, ensuring quality and safety aren't sacrificed. This includes coordinating with other teams to align production with company goals.

Quality and Safety: You will set, monitor, and enforce quality control standards to make sure products meet both company and industry requirements. You will also implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring all employees follow regulations and contribute to a safe workplace.

Team Leadership: You'll lead, mentor, and develop your team, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability through clear communication.

Vendor and Compliance Management: You will track and report on vendor performance to ensure suppliers meet quality and delivery expectations. You will also ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Documentation: You will complete all required documentation accurately, including production reports, safety audits, and compliance checks.

Work Environment: You will promote and enforce 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to keep the work environment clean, organized, and efficient.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or operations is required. You should have a proven track record of managing production teams and driving process improvements. Experience with manufacturing systems, lean production methodologies, and operational efficiency initiatives is also necessary.

Competencies: The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills , as well as strong analytical and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure. You should be a proactive leader with a focus on continuous improvement. The ability to lead and motivate a team is essential.
