Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility in Asheville, NC is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a contract opportunity. This role focuses on providing critical respiratory care across various inpatient units, including Emergency Department, ICU, and Orthopedics. Flexible professionals with critical care experience are encouraged to consider this assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver respiratory therapy services, including intubation and ventilator management
Provide treatments tailored to patient needs in critical care settings
Float across hospital units such as ED, ICU, and Ortho to meet patient care demands
Document care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Participate in orientation sessions on both day and night shifts

Qualifications and Experience:

Registered Respiratory Therapist certification with valid NBRC and NC RRT credentials
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
Minimum of one year of critical care experience, with preference given to those with travel experience
Proven ability in managing C-section related respiratory care
Skilled in intubation, ventilator management, and respiratory treatments
Proficient with Epic electronic health record system

Schedule and Contract Details:

Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 p.m. 7:00 a.m.)
Up to 36 hours per week; no blocked scheduling
Weekend rotation: every other weekend
No on call or call-back required
Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty
