Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage tax compliance and planning for our clients, with a focus on real estate. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate tax return preparation and adherence to regulations in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of corporate and individual tax returns.
- Develop tax strategies and planning initiatives for clients, with an emphasis on real estate transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct tax research and keep abreast of changes in tax laws that may impact clients.
- Review and advise on tax provisions and ensure accurate reporting on financial statements.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive tax solutions and services.
- Mentor and train junior staff members in tax compliance and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on taxation.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly in real estate.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
