Summit Santa Clara currently has an open position for an Imaging Operator (3rd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.

Imaging Operator responsibility is to operate the Chemical Clean Line and Photoresist Coat Cut Sheet Laminator by work instructions and company procedures. To understand and check travelers to verify part counts and/or any special instructions concerning tool numbers and work order numbers. This includes checking correct core and quantity, resist thickness and artwork. Panel size determines what printer to be used. Panel or Pattern plating and Mil thickness of coated resist on panels. Use of Diazo and Silver films on panels. Registration of each shot. Also, responsible for changing filters and chemistries, maintain equipment according to maintenance schedules and company procedures, and to keep a clean and safe area all the time. May assist in the training of new employees in the area.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have one (1) year of printed circuit board experience. The individual must also be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes Inner and Outer Layer panels through the Chemical Clean Line and Laminate Photo resist onto panels in a complete and timely manner in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Dumps and remakes chemistries per company schedule. Maintains and cleans all department equipment.
  • Clean panels using Pumex machine and/or using manual pumice station.
  • Resist-coast panels using HRL & Hi-Vac.
  • Performs other department or company-related tasks at the direction of the department lead / supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the individual to perform for the entire shift while standing.
  • Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must have very good concentration, must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions.

Education/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in PCB industry.
  • Basic mathematical and reasoning ability required.
  • Ability to communicate with managers and supervisors.
  • Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.

Compensation/Benefits: Summit offers a variety of health and benefit programs. Which include Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA plans, Hospital and Accident plans, Life Insurance, PTO, and Paid Holidays. Benefits are effective 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Pay Range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience.
