Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled ultrasound technologist with expertise in maternal fetal imaging and general ultrasound procedures. This position involves night shifts on a contract basis and requires strong clinical abilities across various ultrasound applications.

Location: Roanoke, VA

Schedule:

  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts
  • 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform OB/GYN ultrasound imaging across all trimesters, including fetal anatomical surveys and amniotic fluid assessment
  • Conduct general abdominal, vascular, pelvic/genitourinary, and small parts ultrasound studies
  • Complete adult and portable studies within various clinical settings
  • Chart using Epic electronic health record system
  • Participate in on-call backup coverage as required
  • Adhere to facility call-off and holiday work policies
  • Support floating assignments across departments as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ARDMS certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum five years of ultrasound experience recommended, especially for first-time travelers
  • Proficiency in OB/GYN imaging (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters)
  • Experience in pediatric exams preferred
  • Capability to manage vascular and small parts ultrasound imaging

Additional Details:
This role is open to healthcare professionals willing to travel on a contract basis and requires working one holiday during the 13-week contract period. The facility follows strict protocols for scheduling, call-offs, and documentation. The position emphasizes comprehensive maternal fetal care supported by a dedicated team in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center environment.
