US Corrections is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates with VALID D (unarmed guard) & G (armed guard) Licenses that may have an interest in working as a prisoner transportation officer from our Melbourne, FL office. These officers will be responsible for fugitive extradition operations on behalf of law enforcement agencies nationwide. We have immediate opportunities. We travel nationwide transporting fugitives of all classification levels.

US Corrections is one of the largest providers of prisoner transportation and extradition services in the country. We employ more than 150 personnel, including specially trained extradition officers, logistics professionals, mechanics, training staff and trip planners. We operate a fleet of specially modified vehicles. We are currently accepting applications from qualified candidates that may have an interest in working as a prisoner transportation officer from our Melbourne, FL office.

· Responsible for fugitive extradition operations on behalf of law enforcement agencies.

· We transport fugitives of all classification levels.

· Trips depart from the Melbourne, FL Office and return 3-5 days later.

· This is an over-the-road position, you are not commuting to work daily.

We have 2 openings for our Melbourne, FL office. Our upcoming Basic Extradition Officer Academies will be starting March 3, 2026. It will continue for 2 full weeks. This academy will be held in Nashville, TN. The company will book and pay for your flight and hotel for the academy. Travel time is also compensated. The company will also provide transportation to/from the hotel and training academy.

Pay Rates:

· Trainee Status - $249 per day – approximately first 40 days worked after you have completed the training academy.

· The Agent pay rate starts at $274 per day.

Retention Bonus:

* Receive $500 bonus six months after first day of trip.

* Receive second $500 bonus is paid Nine Months after first day of first trip.

Benefits:

· Company paid basic medical plan, eligible the first of the month following 60 days of employment

· ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan).

Requirements:

Must have current Florida D & G Licenses to Apply and your own sidearm to apply************** will need to send copies of hard cards upon applying for this position. You will not be allowed to attend if you do not have VALID D&G licenses.
Must have your own weapon.
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
· Must submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
· Must be able to obtain a D.O.T. medical card (company expense) valid for at least 1-year.
· Must have a valid driver’s license, CURRENTLY NOT HIRING CDL LICENSE HOLDERS.
· Must have a clean driving record.
· Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
*Must be able to pass a preemployment drug test.
Must have or are able to obtain a REAL ID to fly domestically per TSA before before the academy .
· Must be able to complete the Basic Officer Training course.
· Must be willing to obtain certifications in chemical agents (OC Spray), shotgun and electronic control devices (Taser).
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without difficulty.
Must be able to bend, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
HAVE NO MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT RESTRICT YOU FROM PERFORMING THIS POSITION OR OBTAINING THE DOT MEDICAL CERTIFICATE w/ 1-year minimum.

·Must live within 2.0 Hours or Less of Melbourne, FL

This a full-time position and requires over-the-road travel. This is not a Monday thru Friday 8 to 5 position. You cannot work remotely. Average annual income: $38,000 - $48,000.
