Position Summary
Safe Air Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll & Benefits Administrator to support the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll and benefit administration. This role works closely with HR and Accounting to ensure compliance, accuracy, and excellent employee support. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable handling confidential information while supporting a fast-growing manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Assist with the bi-weekly payroll process for hourly and salaried employees
- Review, approve, and correct timecards, including missed punches and adjustments
- Ensure accurate payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings
- Respond to employee payroll questions and provide payroll-related support
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit deductions and enrollments
- Reconcile payroll benefit deductions with carrier invoices
- Post monthly benefit invoices and related payroll entries
- Support open enrollment and ongoing benefit changes
Accounting & Reporting
- Post payroll general ledger entries and assist with reconciliations
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies
- Assist with payroll auditing, reporting, and internal controls
HR & Compliance Support
- Process verifications of employment
- Support system management related to payroll and benefits platforms
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance requests
- Perform other HR-related duties as needed in support of the HR department
Qualifications
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred
- Working knowledge of payroll laws, garnishments, and benefit deductions
- Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational and communication skills
