Deliver specialized critical care nursing in a fast-paced setting focused on patients recovering from severe medical crises such as heart attacks, strokes, trauma, or respiratory distress. This contract role based in Middletown, OH, offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive critical care, including advanced life support, wound treatment, and ventilator management in a mix of ICU and medical-surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition and develop tailored care plans
- Administer intravenous fluids, medications, and advanced life support measures
- Operate and adjust ventilators, monitors, and other life-sustaining equipment
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and critical care team members
- Record and monitor vital signs rigorously
- Educate and support patients and their families
- Float to LTAC unit as needed based on census and patient needs
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTACH, trach & vent management, and wound care
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (required for submission)
- Ohio RN license or multi-state RN license with documentation attached to resume
- Competence working in an environment with 10 ICU beds serving both ICU and MS patients
