Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity offers a flexible part-time schedule for a Physical Therapist seeking to make a direct impact in a supportive educational setting. Work with a diverse caseload of 11 students, providing key therapy services to help them achieve their goals. This role is structured for one day per week (4-6 hours every Monday), but there is flexibility for the chosen day to best fit your schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state Physical Therapy license required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and families
- Ability to assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services for a designated school caseload of 11 students
- Evaluate student abilities, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school administration to support student goals
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed
- Provide recommendations for classroom adaptations and equipment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for students
- Offer guidance and support to school personnel on strategies to enhance students’ physical development
