Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute daily safety responsibilities on assigned construction projects.
- Conduct thorough inspections of job sites to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of safety programs and controls.
- Collaborate with Superintendents, Quality Control Managers, and other personnel to ensure safety standards are met.
- Report regularly to the Project Manager and VP of Construction on safety compliance and issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in a construction safety role.
- Proven ability to develop and manage comprehensive safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and any relevant techniques.
- Required certifications: OSHA 30-hour, AED/CPR/First Aid; HAZWOPER, CQMC, and NAVFAC ECATTS certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
