This opportunity seeks a dedicated School Psychologist to support K-12 students within a contract role for the full 2025-2026 school year. The position is based in Bellingham, WA, serving a diverse caseload across all grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade. Work approximately 28-32 hours per week, contributing to the school community with a focus on promoting student mental health and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to inform educational planning and interventions.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support positive behavioral interventions.
- Utilize data and evidence-based practices to enhance student outcomes and address learning or behavioral challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings.
- Expertise in psychological testing, assessment techniques, and report writing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of special education laws and the ability to apply intervention strategies.
