A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with certification is needed for an Extended School Year (ESY) contract in West Chester, PA. This role supports high school students requiring speech and language therapy during the summer months, providing targeted interventions to maintain and improve communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services aligned with students' IEP goals
- Assess and document student progress throughout the ESY program
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to coordinate effective interventions
- Utilize evidence-based practices and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuity of care
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP certification for school settings
- Experience working with high school-aged students
- Knowledge of ESY program requirements and specialized strategies for students with communication challenges
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Location & Schedule:
- Position is based in West Chester, PA
- Contract duration covers the Extended School Year period
- Approximately 20 hours per week
