Job Summary

The optometric technician is primarily responsible for preparing the patient for the optometrist to examine. Screening tests, health history procurement, and specialty testing are routinely performed.

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to connect with patients
• Works well with a team-based environment
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
• Willingness to be trained while remaining humble and teachable
• Drive to be a part of a team-driven culture
• Ability to give and receive recognition, feedback, coaching, etc.

Education

• High School Diploma/GED Required.

• AA or BA/BS in a related field is desirable.

• NCLE, ABO, and/or CPO Certifications are desirable
