Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and skilled Pastry Chef to lead our pastry program. This role is responsible for the preparation, design, and execution of all desserts and baked goods, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate is passionate about pastry arts, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with the culinary team to create memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards
- Design and execute seasonal desserts daily specials in coordination with the Restaurant Leadership
- Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance across all pastry items
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients and supplies while minimizing waste
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all ingredients and finished products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry station, following all health and safety regulations
- Train, supervise, and mentor pastry cooks
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen or bakery
- Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and food safety standards
- Excellent creativity, attention to detail, and passion for pastry arts
