We are seeking a motivated Biomedical / Laboratory Equipment Technician to join a small, growing startup in a Team Lead role. This position is well suited for either an early-career technician looking to grow quickly, or an experienced professional seeking a more hands-on, flexible environment away from large corporate structures.
This role requires a self-starter who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and is motivated to continuously learn. The Technician will support laboratory equipment service activities while helping coordinate day-to-day tasks and serving as a direct point of contact for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, basic calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of laboratory equipment
- Support daily service operations and help coordinate tasks within a small technical team
- Learn new equipment platforms and service procedures through hands-on training
- Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to provide service updates and technical support
- Maintain clear and accurate service, calibration, and customer documentation
- Assist with scheduling service activities and tracking work in a CMMS or service log
- Participate in equipment installations, inspections, and decommissioning
- Take initiative to stay productive and identify work in a startup environment
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, documentation, and customer experience

- Laboratory mixers, shakers, and agitators

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–4 years of experience with laboratory, biomedical, electronics, or technical equipment
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience in laboratory, clinical, research, or technical service environments preferred
- Familiarity with service documentation or CMMS systems a plus
Certifications (Preferred, Not Required)
- CBET, CLES, or similar
- OEM or internal equipment training
Work Environment
- Small startup environment with close collaboration and flexibility
- Mix of bench work, customer support, and hands-on service
- Occasional flexible hours as needed
- Ability to lift and handle laboratory equipment

Compensation
- Target salary range: $50,000 – $55,000, based on experience
