Location: Avera St. Mary's Hospital

Worker Type: Regular

Work Shift: Primarily days with possible weekends/evenings/holidays (United States of America)

Pay Range: $34.00 - $51.25 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience)

Position Highlights

Exciting Sign-On Bonus! New Grads may be eligible for up to $15,000 or $20,000 with 2 or more years of experience.

Student Loan Repayment: This position may qualify for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, helping you pay off your loans faster with an extra monthly payment of $167 (up to $10,000).

Work in diverse areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swing bed, pediatrics, and outpatient adult.

A Brief Overview

As an Occupational Therapist, you will coordinate and deliver therapy services tailored to individual patient needs, implementing treatment programs that align with our department's objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific factors, providing care for patients from infants to geriatrics.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on comprehensive evaluations.
  • Utilize activities and tasks to promote health and achieve treatment goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services in various functional settings.
  • Plan therapy in coordination with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans.
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Foster rapport and collaboration with team members throughout the intervention process.
  • Engage in professional development through educational programs and workshops.
  • Participate in departmental program development and employee training.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice upon hire.

Preferred Experience

  • 1-3 years of clinical patient care experience.
