Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Corporate Accountant to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization’s strategic goals. This position requires a meticulous individual with strong accounting expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with third-party accounting firms to review monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Record and analyze journal entries, ensuring all supporting information is accurate and complete.
• Perform reconciliations for inter-company balances, key accounts, and sub-ledgers.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes, including consolidating reports and analyzing results.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including drafting footnotes and compiling supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors to address inquiries related to journal entries and other financial matters.
• Manage daily cash operations, including cash flow analysis and projections for the General Partner and affiliates.
• Evaluate financial performance by identifying trends and conducting variance analyses.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
• Contribute to the development of financial projections, budgets, and analytical models, leveraging knowledge of key business drivers.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to perform detailed reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with external auditors and internal teams.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
