Service Technician (HVAC)

Job DescriptionPanther Heating & Cooling is looking for exceptional HVAC Service Technicians ready to join a team-oriented, locally owned company focused on customer service.
Job Title: Service Technician
Work Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and rotational on-call.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Perform the day-to-day service calls, tune-ups and troubleshooting.
• Provide repair solutions
• Order necessary parts and complete return repairs
• Provide exceptional customer service to all clients
• Complete estimates and other necessary forms
• Participate in weekly training
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of HVAC experience
• Geothermal experience a plus
• Valid EPA Type II
• Advanced customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Well organized and ability to work independently
• Mechanical ability to work with tools
• Geographical knowledge of sales area or map reading skills
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Excellent verbal skills
• Strong interpersonal skills

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to remain seated in a normal position for long periods of time
• Constantly required to walk about
• Constantly required to maintain balance while walking, standing, crouching, or running
• Constantly required to reach up and out with hands and arms
• Constantly communicates with internal and external customers in person and via telephone. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Constantly required to use hands to grasp objects, type, pick up objects, move objects, or hold objects
• Constantly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
• Regularly required to lift up, push and or pull up to 50 pounds and distance of 10 feet
• Routinely required to stand for long periods of time
• Constantly identifies and detects written information on equipment labels, written communication, forms and other labels/documents
• Routinely operates an electronic devices such as a tablet and phone
