Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary school students in Toccoa, GA. This position offers a contracted role for the uping school year, focusing on creating inclusive learning environments tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes student growth and self-confidence
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom setting
- Strong understanding of special education laws, assessments, and instructional strategies
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for supporting diverse learners
