Job Summary
The Flight Line Technician supports safe, efficient ground operations at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Jet Center. This role is responsible for aircraft fueling, ground handling, ramp operations, and customer service while maintaining aviation safety standards and delivering professional service to pilots, passengers, and aviation partners.
Essential Functions
Aircraft & Ground Operations
- Perform safe fueling of fixed‑wing and rotor‑wing aircraft in accordance with fuel quality control (QC) standards.
- Load and unload fuel while following all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Tow, position, secure, connect, and disconnect aircraft using approved ground support equipment.
- Marshal aircraft during arrival and departure using proper hand signals and ramp equipment.
- Open and close Fixed Base Operation (FBO) facilities following approved checklists and procedures.
- Provide aircraft support services, including ground power (AC/DC units), engine start assistance, and lavatory servicing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe ramp and operational environment.
Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate professionally with pilots, passengers, vendors, and Jet Center team members.
- Coordinate effectively with line service personnel and customer service representatives.
- Respond to customer needs in a courteous, timely, and safety‑focused manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for insurance eligibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and comply with uniform standards.
- Previous aviation, ramp, or ground operations experience preferred.
- Willingness to complete required safety and operational training.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of general ramp safety and ground handling procedures.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as required.
- Ability to bend, reach, and work around aircraft and ground equipment.
- Ability to work in outdoor aviation environments with noise exposure.
