Job DescriptionJob Opportunity Overview
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree prior to their first day of employment with our organization. A background in education is not a prerequisite.
Thank you for considering a role with us! Managing a large, rapidly expanding, and high-achieving network of public charter schools requires a collaborative effort from families, students, educators, staff, advocates, and supporters. We are excited to invite you to join our community!
We are dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to an engaging, comprehensive education, regardless of their zip code or financial background. As a teacher within New York City’s leading network of K-12 charter schools, you will collaborate with a team of professionals focused on empowering children from low-income neighborhoods to become confident thinkers and leaders. Our goal is to prepare them to explore complex ideas and succeed in college and beyond.
No prior educational experience is necessary. We offer extensive training and a well-established curriculum, allowing you to concentrate on your students rather than lesson planning.

As we strive towards our most ambitious goals yet, we seek individuals with the motivation to cultivate outstanding leadership abilities, a collaborative mindset to enhance our learning community, and a passion for making a significant social impact on behalf of children.
Joining our team provides you with exceptional opportunities to develop valuable professional skills and advance quickly, with leadership roles available both within the classroom and in administrative positions. As a teacher, you will:
- Learn to evaluate and interpret data to monitor your students’ progress and adapt your teaching strategies accordingly.
- Participate in professional development sessions with school leaders to receive targeted, real-time feedback and coaching aimed at enhancing your performance.
- Have the chance to enter our school leadership pathway as an assistant principal or transition to our network office.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree completed before your first day of work with us.
- A relevant and rigorous academic major (e.g., biology, history, chemistry, economics, physics, English, mathematics, engineering).
- Willingness to work in person in New York City (with a $2,500 stipend available for eligible relocations).
- Passion for Content: You have a genuine enthusiasm for literature, science, history, and/or math, and actively seek to expand your knowledge in these areas.
- Planning and Organizational Skills: You are adept at managing multiple responsibilities and can effectively prioritize tasks.
- Emotional Intelligence: You possess strong instincts for building trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- You are open to receiving feedback and coaching to help you achieve your professional goals.
