Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at Pyromation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving material, issue stock, maintain organized stocking locations, verify stock levels, and use good inventory practices. This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager and serves as a liaison within the Value Streams. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for upholding policies and procedures to promote an environment of lean efficiency, continuous improvement, and to support strategic company goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Milk Run
- Complete milk runs to a set schedule

- Ensure workflow is maintained by supplying parts and materials and maintaining supermarkets
- Report all problems and defects with milk runs to Senior Logistics Specialist
- Identify and communicate stock outs
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Determine disposition of 6S items put on milk run shelf
- Order Fulfillment
- Fill customer and shop orders
- Light assembly of parts
- Accept parts from receiving, verify move tickets, and place parts in appropriate locations
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Maintain organized, clean, properly labeled stocking locations
- Identify and communicate stock outs
- Inspect thermowells and/or flanges then associate HEAT to SOLI using web interface
- Receiving
- Receive and unpack incoming materials
- Verify materials, as well as the quantities and quality
- Computerized entry of all receipts through Epicor
- Perform quality checks as directed using prescribed methods
- NCR non-compliant material
- Move or expedite material to proper department or storage location
- Document shipping damages
- Service customers who walk in to pick up their orders
- Load truck shipments for shipping
- Ensure all received material has proper SDS label and quarantine material not in compliance
- Cycle Counter
- Perform daily cycle count activities in a timely and accurate manner
- Review discrepancies to determine where errors occurred. Analyze discrepancies to determine root cause and help facilitate corrective action
- Notify and help facilitate solutions when inventory is found to be defective or unusable
- Maintain all cycle count reports, graphs, and worksheets as required
- Ensure that each stocking unit is properly labeled and packaged, and that location consolidation and system updates are administered
- Maintain accurate part locations
- Supply Chain Administrative
- Simple look-up and spread sheet work in Excel
- Make bin inventory labels
- Implement approved changes to the kanban system
- Put Away Material
- Stock parts in a way conducive to FIFO (first in first out practices)
- UPS Material received and put away by end of day
- Truck shipments put away within 24 hours of receipt, i.e. pipe, tube, bar, castings etc.
- Capable of PMI material where
- All other related duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirement:
- Be team oriented

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to fulfill job duties
- Be licensed on fork truck, crane and stock chaser
- Operate PMI gun to verify material type
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalence of a G.E.D.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing processes desired
- Knowledge of Pyromation part numbers, MRS and kanban system desired
