Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented and bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Santa Cruz, California. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in managing front desk operations, supporting medical records, and ensuring seamless communication across departments. This role requires strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and visitors with a welcoming attitude while managing check-ins and scheduling appointments.
• Maintain and organize medical records with precision and confidentiality.
• Coordinate communications between departments, including the business office and medical team.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with care, providing accurate information.
• Utilize software tools such as Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and Word to complete administrative tasks.
• Monitor and manage supplies for the front desk and break room areas.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and functioning efficiently.
• Assist with coverage needs based on case volume and departmental requirements.
• Support the team during high-demand periods by prioritizing and executing tasks effectively.• Must be bilingual to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
• High level of organization and attention to detail is essential.
• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and Word.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare, retail, or hospitality.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Neat and detail-oriented appearance with a business casual or scrubs dress code.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to enhance patient and team interactions.
