This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate OTs or COTAs seeking a flexible, part-time schedule to impact students’ growth and success. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to support students in reaching their academic and functional potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Illinois
- Experience in school-based settings highly valued
- Comfortable working with K-12 student populations, adapting support to diverse needs
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork with staff and families
- Flexibility and organizational skills for managing a caseload with limited weekly hours
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students
- Assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Document progress, maintain accurate therapy records, and provide updates to the team
- Equip students with adaptive strategies to enhance their participation in academic and daily activities
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, and families to achieve student goals
- Participate in planning and problem-solving to improve student access and inclusion
This position is based in Lake in the Hills, IL, with approximately 15 hours per week and a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs. You'll work in a supportive educational environment focused on student success and professional collaboration.
