A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for two specialized contract positions in San Francisco, CA. These roles focus primarily on providing pre-K intake assessments and covering FMLA leave at an elementary school site. This opportunity requires on-site presence and offers a unique chance to support early childhood and school-aged students with speech and language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-K intake assessments to identify speech and language needs.
- Provide full speech therapy services to students during FMLA coverage at an elementary school.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district regulations.
- Support students with diverse communication needs in an educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist licensure from the Department of Consumer Affairs.
- Possession of a Clear or Professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing preferred but not required.
- Experience working in school settings with preschool and elementary-aged children.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual abilities strongly preferred.
- Candidates must hold full certification; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not eligible.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
Location:San Francisco, CA on-site position only.
