KLJ is seeking a Process Engineer to support the planning, design, and optimization of oil and gas infrastructure projects. This role involves field and office-based work assisting with hydraulic analysis, process design, equipment sizing, PFDs/P&IDs, and system modeling to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with engineering design, data analysis, and process simulations for oil & gas systems

  • Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specs for facilities including pipelines, pumps, heat exchangers, and tanks

  • Conduct field walkdowns, contribute to HAZOP/LOPA studies, and participate in project planning and closeouts

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution from concept to completion

  • Generate technical reports, hydraulic calculations, and cost estimates under minimal supervision

  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in oil & gas process engineering

  • EIT certification preferred

  • Proficiency in PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and process simulation tools (e.g., VMG, HYSYS)

  • Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in office and field environments

  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as needed

Pay Range: $70,000 – $100,000 per year. KLJ is committed to equitable pay practices and considers internal equity, relevant experience, and education in determining compensation.
