Job Description

This role serves as a hands-on warehouse worker in a chemical distribution plant, focusing on cleaning and preparing containers, accurately labeling products, and supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and organized handling of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and thoroughly clean totes after chemicals are shipped to the plant to ensure they are safe and ready for reuse.
  • Scrape off existing labels from totes and other containers to prepare them for relabeling.
  • Correctly relabel totes and products, ensuring all labels are accurate, legible, and compliant with internal standards.
  • Complete manual fills of products into totes and containers as directed, following established procedures.
  • Stage products and totes for shipment, organizing them in designated areas to support efficient loading and dispatch.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, using appropriate methods and equipment as required.
  • Perform general labor tasks in the warehouse, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a tidy work area.
  • Support inventory-related activities such as picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Assist with general production and warehouse operations as needed to meet daily workflow and production goals.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and plant procedures while working with chemicals and warehouse equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience performing general labor in a warehouse, production, or similar environment.
  • Ability to perform inventory-related tasks, including picking, packing, and staging products.
  • Capability to handle general production duties, including manual filling of containers.
  • Experience with unloading and loading trucks in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Strong attention to detail when cleaning totes, removing labels, and applying new labels.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, moving, and cleaning containers.
  • Reliability in adhering to scheduled shift hours and completing assigned tasks on time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a chemical, distribution, or industrial warehouse environment is beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with established procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across different departments.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Eagerness to learn new tasks and cross-train in other warehouse or plant functions.

Work Environment

This position is based in a chemical distribution plant that maintains a clean and organized warehouse environment. The role follows a first-shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with early departures around 2:30 p.m. on most Fridays, supporting work-life balance. Work involves hands-on tasks such as cleaning totes, manual filling, staging shipments, and loading and unloading trucks. Employees work around chemical products and containers, following established safety procedures and plant guidelines while collaborating with warehouse and production teams in a structured, process-oriented setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fayetteville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
