Job Description
We’re partnering with a well-established, mid-sized general contractor in the Greater Boston area to help them identify a Project Manager with experience in sitework and civil scopes. This company has been steadily growing and maintains a strong reputation in the public construction space, with a diverse project portfolio across academic, affordable housing, municipal and historical restoration markets.
The team self-performs key scopes—including carpentry and sitework—which gives them greater control over schedule and quality. The leadership team fosters a collaborative, growth-minded culture where employees are trusted to own their responsibilities and develop long-term careers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project management efforts on sitework-focused scopes from preconstruction through closeout
- Collaborate with internal teams and field crews to ensure smooth coordination of self-performed work
- Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communications
- Drive weekly project meetings and ensure clear documentation and issue tracking
- Assist with estimating and buyout of sitework packages as needed
- Ensure safety, quality, and compliance throughout the construction process
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction, with prior experience in sitework
- Proven track record of managing projects ranging from $5M–$50M in value
- Experience working with public owners (state agencies, municipalities, housing authorities, etc.) is a plus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
