About the Role
The HR Manager plays a crucial role in supporting Event Risk’s growth and maintaining a productive, compliant, and values‑driven workplace. This role oversees all HR functions—including recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and multi‑state employment compliance—while aligning people strategies with business objectives.
This position requires:
- Full‑time, on‑site presence in the Lewis Center, OH office
- Travel as needed to attend hiring events, recruiting activities, and key in‑person HR initiatives
The HR Manager must demonstrate high proficiency with ADP (payroll, timekeeping, HRIS) and advanced Excel capabilities for reporting, analytics, and workforce planning. You will lead a dedicated HR team consisting of recruiters, HR generalists, and trainers, ensuring operational excellence across all HR functions.
As Event Risk expands, the scope and responsibilities of this role will evolve.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR management experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and multi‑state labor laws
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
- High proficiency in ADP (HRIS, payroll, workforce management modules)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, reporting tools)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to travel as needed for hiring/recruiting events
- Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Lewis Center, OH
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or equivalent certification
- Experience supporting multi‑state workforces
- HR analytics, reporting, and HRIS optimization experience
- Leadership experience managing HR teams (recruiters, generalists, trainers)
- Experience in organizational development, training programs, or change management
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop HR team members, including recruiters, generalists, and trainers
- Provide on‑site HR leadership at the Lewis Center headquarters
- Travel to hiring events and support field staffing initiatives as required
- Oversee nationwide recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning
- Manage employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Administer compensation, benefits, ADP HRIS, and workforce data integrity
- Lead performance management processes and development planning
- Oversee training initiatives to maintain a capable, compliant workforce
- Generate HR analytics, dashboards, and reports using Excel and ADP
- Partner with leadership on organizational design, culture initiatives, and strategic growth
- Improve HR processes and workflows as the company scales
