Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week travel assignment
- Guaranteed 36 hours/week (option for 48 upon request)
- 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Three weekends in every six-week schedule
- Bi-weekly orientation starts (flexible); holiday rotation required
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with compact state privilege (required)
- AHA BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
- At least 1 prior travel assignment
- Recent experience at a Level II trauma center
- Proficient with EPIC (will need to pass a checkoff class)
- Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and adaptability
- Experience with remote telemetry, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, catheters, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to a broad Med/Surg patient population, including post-surgical, high fall risk, and complex medical cases
- Float between nearby campuses within skillset as needed, with appropriate notice
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Uphold high standards of safety and patient-centered care
- Precept students and new staff as needed
