Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school setting in Derry, NH. This contract role is designed for educators with prior school experience who can manage an elementary caseload effectively. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 2026.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized instruction tailored to students with special needs
- Developing and implementing education plans in compliance with IEP goals
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to support student progress
- Assessing student performance and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student progress and compliance
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working in school settings with elementary students
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and communicate effectively with families and team members
